Stay alert from online scams!
It has come to our attention that some fraudsters are impersonating our company (Sage Titans) and attempting to scam unsuspecting individuals through WhatsApp messages. We want to take this opportunity to educate the public about this scam and how to avoid falling victim to it.
The scam involves individuals receiving messages on WhatsApp from someone claiming to represent our company (HR, Receptionist, Assistant Manager, etc). The message may offer a job opportunity (subscribe to YouTube Videos, Likes and shares, etc) or a chance to invest in a lucrative scheme. The fraudsters may also request personal information (UPI, Bank Details, code sharing on Telegram, etc) or security deposit payment in exchange for these services.
It is important to note that our company does not conduct business or new hiring through WhatsApp, Telegram, or any other social media platforms nor do we ask for personal information or payment through these platforms. Any messages received through WhatsApp claiming to represent our company should be treated with suspicion and reported to the appropriate authorities.
Here is a screenshot of one such message:
As you can see, the message contains several red flags. First, the sender is using a fake display picture and knows your name. Second, they are offering a job opportunity without any context or explanation of the position. Finally, they discuss UPI and bank accounts upfront, which indicates a scam.
If you receive a message like this, do not respond or engage with the sender. Instead, report the message to the WhatsApp support team and to our company’s official channels to ensure that others are not targeted by this scam.
It is important to be vigilant when it comes to online scams. Always verify the identity of the sender before responding to any messages or emails, and never provide personal information or payment unless you are certain of the legitimacy of the request.
We hope that this information will help you to avoid falling victim to this particular scam and to protect yourself from similar scams in the future. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to our company directly through our website links or other official social media channels.
